Sick in bed. Snowing furiously! A letter from Fradie.  Watching the weather. I am so disappointed as I was to hear Dr Rens read The Story of Little [[Dimbey?]] and the trial from Pickwick. Mr Bailey gave me a ticket 

I finished the History of the Girondist I am charmed with it. I hated respect pity regret Robespierre Truly he is undefined but shadowy. He had more of weakness than cruelty in his nature.

Home Clear day to church morning and evening. heard a good sermon (Christ temptation in the Garden of Olives.

Mrs Bailey went to Dickens with Mrs Hare They said he had a profusion of flowers about him it was his last in Boston. How I regret not being there.
