At the State House writing until one Oclock.
Took Muller's Literature of Greece home.  Raining.  [[--ent?]] on Lemont Row  caught in the rain. No letters to day.  Sewed and read Mr Phillip's speeches in New York.
Read until late
I am interested in the Prince of Orange as [[?]] [[-rated?]] by McCauley [[Macaulay]]

At home all day reading
McCauley's [[Macaulay's]] Rainy days.
In afternoon.  Lts. Dupree and Trotter called to see me for the first time sinse [[since]] I have been here  they made the amende honorable
After Read until about ten then wrote to Katie
