Went to Lee & Shepherd in the morning after to the State House sat with the Secretary who introduced me to a Mr. The Sec. spoke of his Mother very feelingly she is to be burried tomorrow. We conversed for a long while but taken with a chill I was obliged to leave and come home to bed sick all day long
