Sunday up early and went in the Public Garden with Miss Fannie about six oclock returned about eight. In afternoon got dressed found it a little cool. Mrs Neuthworth brought her husband here I was provoked with her. It was barefaced impertinence!

At the State House to Mr Hayden Sent a book to Mr Ezekial thence read in the Library a long while. In the afternoon went up South and to Mr Howard's and spent a very happy time until ten Oclock. Had letters from Mrs Ezekiel Mr Green and Mr Lennox nothing of importance seemed to [[underline]]make[[/underline]] a [[underline]]note[[/underline]] and." Mr W W Brown called while I was away.
