Boston Vale
Up very early - my last day in Boston alas dear Boston went to Lee & Shephard Mr L gave me "Planchette." Also a Yankee in Canada The Memories of Mme Recamier went to see Addie for the last [[?]] as, Mr Hayden and Nells Brown Anthony Clarke and his mother called went to see Ms [[Barrers?]], later Mrs. [[?]] [[gene?]] Howard and Ella Mahone called Left at five for Newport with Mr. Richmond Mr Haynes and Vanhorn met us at the Boat

New York
Arrived in New York at 7 A.M. The view was some what obscured by the fog yet I saw the Prisons better. Left at ten for Philadelphia. A the joy of meeting old friends the affectionate greeting and interest manifested I can never forget Dora has grown so much Lizzie looked thin. Mama Leaney as of old Hattie Johnson as ever Raymond Burr and Tim Boling called. Eliza Jane Gorden was overjoyed seeing me again called to see Mrs Douglass but did not see her.
