I am wondering how everybody is in Stoughton, first of all yourselves of course. I am sorry for Fred Clapp. Had the boy even had meningitis or any other infectious disease? Meningitis is one of the causes of brain tumor, so are other infectious diseases, some more than others probably. Is he the only boy Fred had? I hope Johnnie and Irma are better by this time.

Last Sunday I went out to see Miss Dawson for a little while. I found her with neuritis in both arms, and just up from a bad grippy cold. The doctor she had told her she was to consider him her physician and send for him whenever she needed him regardless of the lack of money.
