and flowers appeared everywhere.  I do hope the cold weather since has not done very much damage.

I heard the weather man over the radio give Washington temperature a day or two ago, and noted that it was colder there than in many northern states.  I hope Doris and family had enough fuel to fire up again – they have had such a miserably cold winter, they don't need any more frigidity now!

I had a wonderful time going out for dandelion greens.  I began way back when I had to hunt for the tiny things, and continued until now they are lush and full of blossoms but still edible.  I have canned 7 pints.  I hope they keep all right.  Two years ago I had to throw away most all I canned because the rubber bands smelt so badly they spoilt the taste of the vegetables.  Just now I have taken off 4 pts. of prunes.  I don't like the smell of the rubbers I had to put on,
