I hope little Doris will get companionship enough & also politeness which the family lacks, which is a great advantage to a child, if they only knew it. People take more to politeness in children. I am busy serving through the dull weather I have been doing these serving bags I have made four two blue silk ones, one pretty pink one & now that cloth you sent in the bundle I am making into a bay. so you see I have bag on the brain - they will come in for presents another year if nothing more. they look pretty as they are put away side by side on my table I am going to put them in a bureau draer [[drawer]]  so they will not soil or fade. I hope Sidney is resting up and you are not worrying yourself to death overy [[over]] things. we dont die untill our time comes. We are listening in on the trial of the Lindberg baby it will soon come to an end I hope, it must be an awful strain to both parents. how they can stand it is a miracle to live it one day after day is terrible. I pity them. it is foolish to drag it out & such an expense. the lawyers are the only ones who profit by it. at half past eleven are eleven are all listening in to the Navy band, all through our dinner. it is very good. I also like "Amos and Andy", it is silly, but comical. then this morning at half past ten, Edward McHugh comes on - a good baritone singer so we are much entertained  Ma
