Dear Doris,
We are having hot weather but today it seems little better air & not so muggy, a little rain once in a while but not enough to do much good. Hazel Drake came over to pay the rent she seems a good little girl she staid over an hour. it seems that she is the only one working Pearl lost her job when the shop over to the corner closed. she says her father got hold of Mike Williams at last & he came & mowed the grass, her father mowed the front as he was afraid some one going along at night smoaking, might set it afire every thing was so dry. she thinks every thing is all right now, some young ones came & dumped a lot of junk near that rock & she went out & drove them away. they said their cart tipped over. We are having lots of fruit when Mrs Osbourne came home she brought a lot of apples from the Ames estate where Kidder livest cucumbers & radishes from her other daughters garden
