Augusta, Ga. Jan. 3. 1870!
Briv. Col. J.R. Lewis U.S.A.
Dear Sir: Enclosed you will find Reports from our Teachers, for the last month.
I also enclose statement of Rev. W.J. White respecting damage to property, as requested by you.
Sickness of myself and wife has prevented my attendance upon the matter of getting estimates for repairs in "Thankful" Building. I have narrowly escaped congestion of the Lungs, but am now rapidly recovering. Hope to be out today.
Another Teacher, Miss Little, of Cumberland, Md. has arrived, and will enter upon her work, in "Thankful" building, this week.
Please note changes in names of our Schools, made for prudential reasons.
Please send me two Registers, and two or three extra blank reports.
Wishing you a "happy New Year," &c.
I remain,
Yours, truly,
W.D. Siegfried
