Sam Gaskin (col) complains at this Office that he worked for W.B. Vanderford & Wm Thompson 12 months at $8.00 per month and only received ten dollars for his years labor. Please investigate the case and if Gaskin’s statement is correct give judgment payable immediately. Please report proceedings to this office.

You will please investigate the case of Aaron Donnell v.s. Geo Donnell for labor rendered last year. Summon all witnesses required and have all parties sworn. Whatever crime he may have committed regarding some sheep has nothing to do with Geo Donnell paying his debts. Report your decision to me Investigate the case immediately.
