My glasses are not exactly a fit but better than they were - so I can work + read. I may go over there again to see him sometime Mrs. B has lovely furniture it came from foreign parts. she is going to store most of it over in Holbrook with friends trunks full of beautiful embroidered sheets + pillow slips all linnen + those are to be stored. China the most expensive sort. she is sorry

Dear Folks.
Cool and cloudy. no rain but looks much like it. my red bud is in full flower & fragrant. my plants I am sitting out a few every day & I brought over ashes from Mrs Ballentine's bonfire & mixed in the dirt that was in my boxes. I set out petunias they are hardy & i is col here still for the most of my house plants. Mrs Legg says Lena went to Boston over a week ago & no word has she received from her in ay way shape or form. she thinks she is queer. she ran the oil heater way up to 80 then opened her windows way up & the next thing she found her on her piazza sorting over the things in the truck she complained of being old before turning on the heat.
Professor Andrews called us up to know where Lena was, he wanted to get in touch with her so we directed him to Dr. Otts yesterday. thinking her might know. I have not had any trouble with Lena. don't you think for a minute I have. she had full sway all the time she was here. I dont know what you mean by saying not to rub it in. she makes people very nervous as Mrs Legg says. for she acts funny & does crazy things. I am not hard to
