we play two games every day. it helps to pass away the time. occasionally
I can beat her. she is a good player though. we get careless then we
make some foolish moves. no one comes to see us & it gets lonesome.
she is no talker unless she gets excited. then her tongue flies fast
enough. we have just had one afternoon tea with my biscuits & gravy.
jelly & doughnuts it sounds more than it was. as we neither of us were
hungry. one dont get hungry inside the house & not working much.
Our is often has not stated to build yet. he is around & so is the little song
sparrow & a little woodpecker. we have the squirrel but have not seen
that little rabbit. he was here all summer & late in the fall. a half
grown one. guess he did not survive the cold winter. I have
just called w/h Alice on the phone. she says she has got rid of
Mrs. Hattie Peckard. this morning, Mystic told her she has gone over
to Mrs Tildens. she keeps a regular boarding house. she got on
Alices nerves so the Doeton told her she must get rid of her.
she has had his five years. thats. thats long enough she feels. she will have to pay more board & probably it will be a place
she will like much better. as Mrs Tilden is a very good cook & things
will be more to her liking. at any rate Alice has got id of her
Perey hated her. it is hard to be out in the world at the time of life
without a home & no one wants her. I am sure her sons wife
dont want her. Ive would keep her were she alive. I guess Alice
misses her mother & always has. I do, she did her share in life. now
I am glad she finds peace at last & is happy & hope. Ma.
she had to work too hard & was always poor & did lots of good in life.
