Dear Folks

I got the bundle and now I would be glad to have something to occupy my time. it has been very sunny these few days. snow is prophesied for our next change of the weather. but hope it will be light. tell Doris that I thank her very much for the little valentine. I hope she got one from Aunt Maude. Mrs. Osborne has just been called up by her folks saying Bessies little Lorena had been put to bed with Pneumonia. she had the whooping cough so bad she burst a blood vessel coughing so hard + was not able to throw it off. so it congealed they sent for the Dr this morning, he said sent just in time, if they had waited 'till night, she wouldn't have lived. Bessie + Earle are both half sick. he has a cold on his chest + she cannot keep any food on her stomac + has pleurisa from lifting the three children while sick. they have got over it + the boy goes to school. he lost nine weeks of schooling that is where he got it and brought it home to the other two. one five + the other two or three it keeps her anxious but they are bound up in the doctor all of them. We are anxious to hear the verdict of the Hofman trial I am afraid that jury are not for conviction. they don't look very intelligent to me. time will tell. he looks like a villain + not fit to be at large. hope he gets the first degree. the evidence is sufficient if circumstantial.
