OCTOBER 10 1944- Tuesday and school. Daddy cut tobacco over on place today. Got 3 eggs today. 1945- Wednesday. took my music lesson. Saw Peck, Winslow, & Raymond this morning. warm. canned chicken Uncle Gantt in afternoon. 1946 Thursday school until 1 p.m. Had 2 fire drills in school. rained all day. Like Mr. Reeder a lot. 1947 Friday & school. cold. Library 5th period. Mrs. Allison still asbent. Heard "Baby Snooks, Break the Banks" etc. 19 OCTOBER 11 1944- Wednesday and school. Franklin didn't go to school today. warm out today. 1945 Thursday and school half-a day. washed my sweaters. warm. 1946 Friday & school. rained all day. Assembly 5th period. Soccer game with Oxon Hill, we won 2-0. Like Mr. Reeder more every day. He is sweet. 1947 Saturday. cold out. Daddy & boys out. 19
