AUGUST 18
Friday Good day all day. [[Minnows]] [[leapin]] around barn over on other place. carried 1 ton of straw to Wheeler + got truck [[greased]] at Md Job Growers. Daddy, Robert + I went crabing in afternoon then to [[Coxseys?]]. got home 8 o'clock. Mary, Robert + I to movies at Waldorf, "all Comedy show" got home 11:30 o'clock.


AUGUST 19
Saturday good day all day. ganthed ground leaves in morning and cut tobacco. carried Mrs Via a bushel of tomatoes in morning, Admina Mae can walk again. [[Alfo]] cut tobacco in afternoon. I went up to Vias at night played cards with Admina Mae. got home 12:45 at night. got a little rain at night.

AUGUST 20

Sunday Good day all day. nobody went to church. Daddy, Robert + I went to Hicks to get some grain shells. [[all?]] of us went over to [[Aunt?]] Graces in the afternoon and got back at night. Bob Via came up here after we got home. did not go anywhere at night.


AUGUST 21

Monday Good day all day. cut tobacco 1/2 a day. then topped tobacco the other half I called up Adina Mae in afternoon, also [[recieved?]] [[bushel?]] [[of?]][[corn?]] Judy [[?]] called her up at the [[?]] [[?]] [[?]]times  Bob + I went to movies at night [[?]]. got home 12 o'clock.
