Dear Folks,

We are having rain at last, at night it comes so there is no knowing how much we get. it is better than nothing & does much good if only a little.

Blanch went to Chickataubut yesterday, for she is a member now, the crowd were bound to have her join. Careta took her there. they met at one O'clock there was a good dinner awaiting there for them. so about 5 O'clock she was brought home by Marion Estin who wanted an old straw hat for her son to wear to a Halloween party. he was to take the part of an old farmer, so Blanch told Marion that I had the hat. she told her to sit in the car and she would bring it out. "no! said Marion I want to go into see Mrs Holmes, she used to know my mother". she came in. she is very grey & solid built & grown to look like her mother, nice & sensible appearing, I told her to come again, she said she surely would. She treated me as if I was one of them, they all like her, nothing high hatted about her. kind where she takes. Careta has invited Myrtie to come to her house when she gets through to Frank Capens, which will be the first of November.
