Dear Doris

I covered up my flowers last night for a frost the papers said was coming. it turned out to be rain. everything was wet this morning. it is a dull day to day. Mrs Barry sung in church the Reynolds'es took her down. I have just had a nap after dinner our tree is full of robins, after the berries, they fully enjoy it at this season. even the cat birds come I love to watch them/ She went to ride, Loreta took her, then she staid to her house to supper & when she came home, she bought a doz of bannanas, three very large bartlett pears a honey dew melon & a box of candy. she had a very hearty supper. Carita has more food given her than she knows what to do with, Mrs Marden give it. her brother gives her money, her taxes & water rates are paid by the Mardens so she is lucky there. she is well provided with money to clothe herself & Barbera with. also I guess she is good to others & helps many who are in need of such. every one speaks a good word for Carita. Myrtie has written to her. it seems she is to get through at Frank Capens.
