Stoughton August 4th 1935
Dear Folks
A cool wind but hot sun Oh! for a good down pour. I am thirsty + then sweating. peaches are very good now + I eat them for supper every night they are very good. Louie Dykeman brought me up a large bag of red apples yesterday afternoon, mackintosh I guess. I tell you they looked fine we are to have some pies tomorrow she likes them in sauce also. she sung in church to day, every body sailed up to her after wards to give her praise. she said she was inspired. it was not her who sang, all she did was to open her mouth someone did the rest. her husband was a beautiful singer. they always sang together. Frank Reynolds played. he told her he had played that hymn a great many times, but never had heard any one sing it like that before. they all came to her with tears in their eyes they were so affected. so I guess she was helped through by some unseen power. as she says they are all begging her to sing for them again but she says no. the ministers wife told her that never since the church was founded had they ever heard that hymn sung like that before. they said it was better then the sermon. it came from heaven through her + she
