Mrs Osborn came over to see me last night. joe brought her over she looked pale & thin but seemed glad to see me. the anniversary of Mrs Barries husbands death today. she is sad. he has been dead 10 years. hope you are having better weather it is terrible damp here & muggy.

Stoughton July 21st 1935

Dear Folks,

After one of our hottest days, the showers that went around us giving us a good down pour of rain left us a very cool atmosphere these last two days for which we are very gratefull for. Mrs Barry is here she did not go to church but is awaiting the arrival of the folks who has her furniture who she has not seen for some three weeks. Bill was here Friday night & told her to get them to sign a paper naming the articles she lent & mention them as lent them for use only for storage. otherwise they could claim them after a six month period of time. he would be a witness but she is going to have me sign my name as such. I am sure he is right about advising her. most of her stuff is very elegant. imported from accross the water. many Stoughton people have seen it. Mr. Gilzer after coming over to bring me my cherries stopped to Gebhearts to say that I had a Mrs Barry here & was it possible the same one they knew who sang in public the Pinafore & in McCards she said
