Between the Lines, a documentary that explores the notion of being Asian and woman and writer, is the latest to feature Staceyann. She was also a featured performer on HBO's "Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry."

STEVE COLMAN (Poet) was a member of the 1998 national-champion Nuyorican Poets Café (NYC) slam team. He was also the winner of the 1999 Fresh Poet of the Year prize from the Nuyorican Poets Café. Colman won the APCA (Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities) Performer of the Year Award in 2000, and in 2001 garnered a prestigious NACA (National Association for Campus Activities) performing arts Performer of the Year nomination. His television appearances include winning the first-ever BET Soundstage Slam and being profiled by CNN's "Entertainment Weekly," which proclaimed him "one of the best slam poets in the country." Colman also stars as the grammar poet on the PBS television series "TV411," which airs nationally. His work has been featured in numerous publications, and he co-authored Burning Down the House (SoftSkull Press, 2000), a collection of poetry from the 1998 Slam champions. Steve Colman was a featured performer on "Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry" on HBO. He has read his poetry for luminaries ranging from Rakim to George Lucas, and he has been featured at more than 100 colleges and universities. Colman has performed his one-person poetry show, A Stevening of Poetry, around the globe to rave reviews from Copenhagen to Johannesburg. He lives in New York City with his partner, Sarah Jones. 

MAYDA DEL VALLE (Poet) hails from Chicago's South Side where she began performing her own writing while in high school.  She relocated to New York City in October of 2000, after graduating from Williams College with a B.A. in art.  One of Mayda's fist stops was the legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe.  In spite of never having performed poetry competitively, Mayda won the Nuyorican's Grand Slam Championship and went on to the National Poetry Slam in Seattle in August of 2001.  There she won the Individual National Poetry Slam title and became the first poet from the Nuyorican, the youngest poet and the first Latina to win the title.  Mayda was featured on the HBO series "Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry."  She has also been featured in El Diario, Urban Latino, Mass Appeal magazine and The New York Times. She has performed at NYU, Columbia University, UT Austin, USC, the Public Theater and Joe's Pub, and recently showcased a one-woman show at the HERE Arts Center in New York City.

TAMIKA HARPER also known as GEORGIA ME (Poet) was born under the sign of Sagittarius in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has rocked the stages of almost every club in Atlanta. She is a frequent morning-radio guest, and in addition to winning many talent competitions, she has been an undeniable force on the SLAM circuit. She was captain of the fabulous Moore Epics Slam Team, which won the grand prize at the Nuyorican Cafe in New York and represented Atlanta in Seattle, Washington, at the National Slam Competition.
