WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST

Davidson. The Taper has received virtually every theatrical award including the 1977 Tony for theatrical excellence. Of particular distinction is that two Taper plays, The Kentucky Cycle and Angels in America (Part One), received in consecutive years the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, the first time for plays produced outside of New York. And, in 1994, three of the four plays nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play were Taper plays (with The Kentucky Cycle and Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 joining Part Two of Angels). Other Taper plays include "QED," Children of a Lesser God, The Shadow Box, Jelly's Last Jam, In the Belly of the Beast, Zoot Suit and The Trial of the Catonsville Nine.

LYNNE MEADOW (Artistic Director, Manhattan Theatre Club, Inc.) has been Artistic Director of Manhattan Theatre Club since 1972, where she has been responsible for directing and producing over 400 New York and world premieres. Ms. Meadow's directing credits include Charles Busch's The Tale of the Allergist's Wife (Broadway, MTC, U.S. national tour), Leslie Ayvazian's Nine Armenians (Drama Desk nomination, Best Director), Donal Margulies' The Loman Family Picnic, Alan Ayckbourn's Woman in Mind (Drama Desk nomination, Best Director) and the Broadway production of A Small Family Business (Broadway), David Rudkin's Ashes (Obie Award), as well as productions for The New York Shakespeare Festival and the O'Neill Theatre Center. Under her artistic leadership, MTC has been honored with every prestigious theatre award, including multiple Tonys, Drama Desk Awards, and Pulitzer Prizes. She attended the Yale School of Drama, and Bryn Mawr, where she served on the Board of Trustees. Ms. Meadow is the recipient of numerous awards including the Lee Reynolds Award from the League of Professional Theatre Women, the Manhattan Award from Manhattan Magazine, the Person of the Year from National Theatre Conference, and the Margo Jones Award. Ms. Meadow has taught at Circle in the Square Theatre School, Yale University, and New York University.

BARRY GROVE (Executive Producer, Manhattan Theatre Club, Inc.) is in his 28th year of partnership with Artistic Director Lynne Meadow at MTC, where he has produced over 375 American and World Premieres. He is a member of the Tony Administration Committee and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Equity-League Pension and Health Trust Funds. In the past, Mr. Grove has served as President of the League of Off-Broadway Theaters and Producers and the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York, as Treasurer of the Theatre Communications Group, and as a Board Member for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. He has served on numerous panels, including a term as Chairman of the theatre panel for both the NEA and the NYSCA. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to New York City theatre, Mr. Grove received a citation from the New York City Council which declared June 4, 1990 "Barry Grove Day." Most recently, he received the 2000 Edith Oliver Award for Sustained Excellence Off-Broadway, and in 1997 he was awarded the Arts and Business Council's Arts Management Excellence Award. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he is a past Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the Hopkins Center/Hood Museum of Art. Mr. Grove is an adjunct professor at both Yale and Columbia universities.
