His adaptation of "Bang the Drum Slowly" was produced for WFMT by Chicago Theatres on the Air and for KCRW by L.A. Theatre Works. He is developing a new opera (Bokchoy Variations) with musician Evan Chen and playwright Keith Hugg, and teaches directing at the University of Chicago. 

TUG YOURGRAU (Author) is a playwright, actor and documentary filmmaker based near Boston. He has received commissions for original teleplays from American Playhouse and Boston's WGBH, and is currently adapting his teleplay "Hotel Florida" for the stage. TV acting credits include " A Question of Rape" and "Miller's Court." his voice can be heard on episodes of "Nova" and other PBS series'. For National public Radio, he has acted in "The Jungle Book," "Daughter of the Moon," and "Life in the Iron Mills" (for which he wrote the radio adaptation), and other programs. he has been a producer a WGBH, with credits on PBS' "Enterprise," "The MacNeil/Lehrer Report," "Discovering Psychology" and "Living Against the Odds," and on the ACE Award-winning series "neighborhoods." Most recently, he was Senior Producer for Special Projects at The Monitor Channel. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, he lived in Pietermaritzburg until he emigrated to the US at age 10. He holds a B.A. from Swarthmore and an M.A. from Boston University. He received the 1992 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Work for The Song of Jacob Zulu. he is delighted that the play was developed at Steppenwolf Theatre. 

KEVIN RIGDON (Scenic Desigher) designed the Broadway productions of A Streetcar Named Desire, The Grapes of Wrath, Our Town, Speed-the-Plow, Glengary Glen Ross, The Caretaker and Ghetto. Off-Broadway: Oleanna, Distant Fires, unidentified Human Remains, Orphans, Balm in Gilead, Edmond, many others. For Lincoln Center: Mr. Gogol and Mr. Preen; Bobby Gould in Hell; The Devil and Billy Marke; Road; Danger, Memory; Praire du Chien; The Shaw;. For Steppenwolf, he has designed more than 80 productions as resident designer. Other credits: Royal National Theatre, Alley Theatre, Kennedy Center, American Rep, mark taper Forum, Milwaukee Rep, Cleveland Play house, Virginia Museum theatre, Wisdom Bridge, Remains, the Goodman, the festivals of Perth and of Sydney, Cameri Theatre of Tel-Aviv. Recipient: two Tony and four Drama Desk nominations; two American Theatre Wing and five Joseph Jefferson awards. 

ERIN QUIGLEY (Costume Designer) is a resident designer at Steppenwolf, where credits include Your Home in the West, Earthly Possessions, Curse of the Starving Class, Another Time, Harvey, The Secret Rapture, Wrong Turn at Lungfish, The Geography of Luck, The Homecoming, El Salvador, Ring Round the Moon, A Walk in the Woods, Stepping Out, The Grapes of Wrath (Chicago, La Jolla, Londan, Broadwya) Killers, The common Pursuit, A Lie of the Mind, Frank's Wild years, Educating Rita (also Off-Broadway), Bang, The Caretaker and Coyote Ugly. ROBERT CHRISTEN (Lighting Designer) is the resident lighting designer/master electrician at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, where he most recently designed lighting for Wings, currently at The Public Theatre. Other Goodman credits: Joe Turner's Come and Gone, Sunday in the Park with George, A Christmas Carol. For Steppenwolf: Earthly Possessions, A Walk in the Woods, Savages. Recent lighting designs: Marvin's Room (Off-Broadway, Goodman, Kennedy Center), The Gigli Concert (Court Theatre, Spoleto Festival), A Raisin in the Sun (GeVa), A Moon for the Misbegotten (Missouri Rep). He has designed lighting for the Hubbard Street Dance Co. and Chicago Opera Theatre. Graduate: University of Wisconsin. 


ROB MILBURN (Sound Designer) has been a composer and resident sound designer at the Goodman Theatre for five seasons. Broadway: The Grapes of Wrath, music composition and sound design for the premiere production of the Broadway Alliance, The Speed of Darkness. Off-Broadway: music arrangements and sound design for From the Mississippi Delta, sound design for Mill Fire, music composition and sound design for Marvins' Room at Playwrights Horizons and the Minetta Lane. In Chicago: music and sound for Remains Theatre Ensemble, Wisdom Bridge and Steppenwolf. Regional: Kennedy Center and Arena Stage, The Guthrie's American Conservatory Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Hartford Stage Co., Seattle Rep, La Jolla Playhouse, Rhode Island's Trinity Rep. Also: National Theatre of Great Britain, Cameri Theatre in Tel Aviv, and festivals in Sydney and Perth, Australia. Recipient: seven Jefferson Awards, two for Original Music and five four Sound Design.
