It has been rainy but has cleared since noon & now the sun is shining out and it may be the storm is over. May is uncertain. she has been to church, Friday after H Belchers funeral she called on Maude & found her busy in her garden her flowers were lovely. she sent me a large bouquet of pansies, tulips, & Iris arranged beautifully. she was very pleased to see her & begged her to stay longer. she is very much worried over what she is going to do. she'd rather stay in her home than go down to Henrys. she says she is not able to take roomers or boarders and has no money & what to do is more than she knows she asked Mrs Barry what she advised. she is not afraid to stay there alone nights & preferred being there to going down to Henry's I told Mrs Barry to call to Morts on her way home. she told Maude and she advised her not to, as Mort had been very bad had a severe heart attack. it seems he had painted some pictures for Brockton City Hall. but Gov Curley had viewed them & told the Mayor that he did not approve them & he would send some of his men out to touch them up. so they came out some of these men, whom he wanted to
