South wind & a very sunny day  no rain but may end in showers to night as it was prophesied this morning. I am here by my lonesome  she goes once a month with her crowd & meets another crowd & take dinner at a big hotel sometimes its Framingham but to day they are to meet in Worcester they are invited guests then they play cards two women in Worcester belong to the set. Saturday night they left Laura Gebheart & Phoebie Hill out of their party. Marion Estin & Alice Winslow got down on them so they wernt invited they met at Baretas house & men were of the party. four of the women were dressed in evening clothes but two of the men only wore evening clothes. They did not use sense with low necked dresses & trails a yard long silver slippers & high heels. Mrs. Barry is used to society, she thought they over did they thing her dress cost more than the whole of them, just a yard of the material, but it did not drag on the floor & she wore shoes to match her dress. she could see where they were off she did not enjoy such snobishness & would much rather met with just four
