Stoughton March 27th 1936

Dear Folks

This has set in for a cold stormy afternoon. it seems to be a snowy feeling atmosphering we dont hardly need the rain. our water is gradually seeping into the cellar & hope no more is added to what we already have got lift. I was able to get to the oil container & find we have saved on the oil, by not being able to get down to turn it on. my boy came yesterday to cart away the ashes & I had him take my tin cans. he was going to carry off Mrs Ballentines so had him take mine also, he had a great box on wheels, he shovels my paths & mows the lawn in the summertime, a little worker & very honest he is a jewel. I raked away the leaves from my flower beds & found every thing started in great style, the winter with so much snow has been great for vegetation, now rain is doing the rest. sorry that little brat picked your crocus and hyancinths. I should feel like spanking her she deserves it. did you tell her folks? I did not notice the cold realy but one night & the next day my nose run just a little for just as
