Dear Folks,

We are the fortunate ones to be out of the rivers flooding district. N England is certainly hard hit this time if it never has been before & trouble will follow after it from sickness, death & lack of funds to replace what were lost by the greatest disaster ever experienced before. what will come next I dont know, my heart goes out to so much suffering & crime may follow in its wake. I am wondering how much you are in the flooded district three papers say the Potomac is receding, but they fear epidemics may follow. God in his wrath has sent this to his people in order to show them they are too greedy & not living as they should & forgetting him. Curley is even making himself a multimillionair out of this & dont forget it, he has been in three auto accidents & may end his carear in that way, the darn rat pity hecant. old Roservelt [[Roosevelt]] the same, any way to get rid of them neither of them are fit to live, much more to be at the head of the countries finantial affairs & interests. I wonder if you got my Thursdays letter telling of Addie Healeys death. this notice I am sending you came from Worcester I got it Saturday
