I am sitting here in the sun, writing. it feels good to me but it is four O'clock & fast going down. although the days are longer I had just mended your dress. you may be able to get some more wear out of it. the dresses are too narrow, but fashion has to be followed if it is uncomfortable. being so well covered the mending may not show. your cat has been a nuisance those tigers are always hunters. poor lanky Tom never was known to catch anything in his life. One gets attached to a cat or a dog. since George McGarvey's little dog has learned to clime over the fence, he does not bark before that he was a pest.

The windows are frosting up it's going cold, my room is frosty cannot see out of the window, but I don't mind it won't feel cold after I get my stone hugged up to me. the paper says rising temperature for tomorrow. now we are going to have winter perhaps. our heat goes off & then comes on tonight, which shows it's a cold night. I hope tho this wind goes down.
Mrs. Barry has got home from Laura's, she says she has outside windows all around, but her curtains blow out in the rooms so her windows are not any tighter than ours. her fireplace has been put in this summer. she had a fire in that also. he plays in the Symphony & his salary is $75.a week & she teaches music & earns three days every week, & earns seven dollars each day & their hands bring them in good money, so they are money grabbers they are but she likes to spend money good where she takes.
