Dear Folks,
We have had so far a cold week but the wind went down during the night so today is a bit warmer. cold enough though now. so that the snow that came a fort night ago is making it hard traveling. I ordered kindlings over a week ago + they came this afternoon. the truck came into the yard a little ways + it took a lot of shoveling to get back into the street again. he got two pails of ashes before he could make the back wheels work + two men to push on the big truck. I hope they dont have to come into the door yard again while this snow lasts. I guess there will be no January thaw this year. Mrs Barry went up to Laura Gebhearts to a card party this afternoon. Nellie Standish took her up in a [[?]] + furnished the feed. tomorrow she begged a chance to go to Brockton with Laura there are several little things we both need + she can have her take her down town, so she can pay my electric light + telephone bill. I have got my bed quilt most all sit together so I can begin to put the lining in + begin to knot it next week so you need not hae to send any more pieces this time.
