I dont know what things are coming to. am sure ruin is staining us in the face & am afraid with another turn of such administration we shall all be ready to commit suicide. isnt it dreadful. Mrs Harrington wants to come down to see us she is crazy to sell the old place & they are very cautious & want full particulars as to its being the place Mary B Eddy tired & wrote her first edition of "[[?]] of Man". she is trying her best to prove the case to them. she is a very smart woman, but terrible tiresome she demands ones whole attention. I pity him he says to sell the place 'twill "break his heart". it is just the place he loves. but she is sick of it. We pity them both. she would not be satisfied any where long. too ambitious their little child is the only thing that will keep them together he is a dear. Thurs morning.
