Dear Folks

I have just been down to vote but my fears are that we shant win the Republican vote, but the people are doing their best old & young & the day is favorable for their voting, no rain as yet. I do hope it may hold out untill the last. it is after two o'clock they are flying by thick & fast after people to vote. A nice woman came after us & brought me back. Mrs. Barry stayed down she was going to the movies. it is very windy & will be colder tonight the radio says. she will stay up all night to know which side gets in & listen in, but for me it dont matter. a few hours sleep is of more importance. I shall know tomorrow. I have done my part trust to luck for the rest. they say it is going to be close no land slide this time they are sure. The sun is clouding in wind south it will get out North West by night & then we shall freeze perhaps. I ought to pick my chrysanthemums, they last a long time in boquets. I gave Careta a bunch she was here last night just before dark. she has to have a fight with that brother of hers every time she asks him for money, he has the handling of it untill Barbera comes of age or 25 years old
