Dear Folks,

To day is a nice day though hot outside. she has gone to church. Gladys came yesterday after working in the forenoon, she never stays to dinner we both like her + she likes to come. she was going to call on Alice Woods as usual she asked when you were coming home. she says the wages she gets are small there in Brockton but feels she is lucky these days to get even that much.
Beatrice Monk called on me Friday night she was going by she said + thought she would run in. she said she heard of my calling at the Longyear Memorial. the librarian told her + said she felt sorry that she was away at that time taking her vacation + missed seeing me she says they all think a great deal of me because Mrs Longyear was so fond of me + that I was associated with the great leader in my childhoods days + could recall so much of her at that time. they asked me if I had a picture of myself taken about that time + I said no I hadnt. I told Beatrice of the two people that Mrs Longyear was far the better woman than Mary Baker Eddy. But I don't tell them so. whats the use.
