people like to believe what they want to in this world.
Mrs Harrington sent me down an apron she made for me and a lot of pieces. he came with them & said she was getting through there & was going to let the place in September he says that he has tried to get a job but dont succeed & she has not sold the place. he loves it but they cant live on nothing forever. I wish something good might come their way before he has to give it up. he is so in love with the place. a good man but they are not fitted for each other. she is a drive & he a home body. he planted a good garden has a fine lot of vegetables coming along. brings us something every time he comes down both are very generous. we are going to miss them when they go away. they say they will always keep in touch with us however. I told Beatrice all about her ancesters on her Fathers side she didnt seem to know much about them & it seemed to me to be time she did. she was anxious to hear she did'nt even know her own grandfather Elisha Monk & even told about Sarah Capen wanted to know if I knew who she was. I said your fathers grandmother but I said her name was Sally & my mother was named for her. but her name was'nt Sarah but it was Sally. she and Mort were our cousins. I told her she married Old Wood for her second husband. then I said you are like myself more interested in your mothers relatives than in your fathers. but its well enough to know both. she says the doctor says her fathers ailments are more serious at the present time & that her mother is liable to drop any time she is a very good girl to look after them so faithfully.
