Stoughton August 6th 1936

Dear Folks

After our four hot days which terminated in a teriffic thunder shower yesterday was a fine day cool + clear such a change in temperature but last night a gentle rain started in + it has continued this morning + bids fair to be a rainy day. she is going down with the rest of her crowd to Laura Gebharts shore place about noon. yesterday Addie took us all for a ride in her new car, it was around by Houghtons pond a most beautiful place, we all were invited her mother and I Mrs Barry just four of us + the road was so nice and smooth the day was just perfect, a fruit stand we passed where the fruit + vegetables were all raised on the farm. we stopped there and bought fresh tomatoes, beans + nice peaches, corn that was lovely. this place is well patronized, they come from all around to trade. in Braintree as you come through from Bluehill reservation. lots of farms + some nice houses scattered along the route we thourily enjoyed our ride. Addie spoke of Mary Toomey she has been courted seven years + she talked with her about this worthless chap
