PS Amys husband is a relation of the Mardens. & they were opposed to Edgars marrying Bareta. but dont tell any body thats a secret. hence they made a restricted will & left Barbera heir to most of the money with an old [[?]] a friend of Judge Hardens gordian so Bareta has not a thing to say & cant have anything to say or do with the property, she get a very smal allowance. most the fortune goes to Barbera. who comes into it at 21 years of her age she is only 14 now a pretty good [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[?]]. she said she has been very good to me, & Every body likes her, but she is important & too bossie kind hearted as she can be. Amy is very cordial & blunt she brings a good influence into the room where ever she goes & dont care a darn for any body. whenever she comes to Bareta Mrs. Barry gets lots of rides, Baretas care is a one seated one or she would take along too but never mind me. I am well satisfied.
We have eaten dinner & it is hotter, cooler inside though. I am going to take off my dress & lie down. she will go down to the movies. after she calls up the state theater to see when the picture comes on Sunday its continuous. they have the same play tomorrow. there is no air & it is hot. a shower may creep up. things are getting dry with so much hot sun. I water my garden every night though. I called up Anna & she says Fred [[?]] stays with her a great deal you know he is a cousin of Morts & when his mother died Ardelia took him to live with her. Abbie Anna Simmons after ward she married [[?]] & her children took [[?]] name, was own cousin to her. so it is good in him to look out for her. otherwise it leaves her without a soul to depend on & Anna is lucky to have Fred. they have her around & he stays with her a great deal. so she told me. Mort & Anna spent their thanksgiving down to his house & remember Mort old me at the time. I have had a little nap she went to see the movies it come on at quarter past three. she told her Holbrook folks that this place was a home. the only one she had enjoyed since her own, after her husband died & that she did as she had a mind to & we were both happy together. she is perfectly content thats what she tells every where she goes & that I am a dear Ma
