We are now presenting to you the anxious feelings of the citizens of Cuthbert.

Having examined the census of this portion of Randolp" we endeaver to report about (250) children - in all to your satisfaction, and the public generaly.

We now beg your sincere attention to this request, and your decision will be respectedly received.

This request you will see are made by our best colred men — an signed by the most honorable citizens of this part of Randolph County.

You will see above mentioned the amount of children within the city of Cuthbert  do you realy believe that two Teachers can command that amount of children.  If every one of them visited School. There is now started a school [[strikethrough]] started [[/strikethrough]] within the Baptist church, amounting to about = Forty Three children, some unable to pay — are they not entitled to some support from the free school — agreeable to the provision made by the United States to the state of Georgia.
