Memorandum of an agreement made this 14th Otober [[October]] 1865
1865, between The undersigned Freedman of
[[strikethrough]] Franklin [[/strikethrough]] County, of Franklin State
of Mississippi and James.M.Scott
of ___ County of Franklin State
of Mississippi.

Witnesseth, That said Freedmen for the consideration hereinafter mentioned,
agrees to [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] perform good & lawful service during the remainder of the year 1865 in whatever capacity the said James M Scott may direct

And the said James M Scott for the consideration herein before mentioned, agrees to furnish good and sufficient food fuel, quarters, clothing & Medical attention
