This Agreement made this 28 day of November A.D. 1865 and between John Groves of Leake County and state of Mississippi of the first, and the person herein after named and undersigned, Freedman of the same place, part hereto of the second part,Wilson.

Witnesseth that for the purpose of cultivating the plantation known as the [[strikethrough]]of[[/strikethrough]] John Groves Plantation I John Groves of the first part agrees to furnish Provison for Wilson and family numbering 13 in number I am to furnish Land mules &c [[strikethrough]]Wilson of the second part[[/strikethrough]] I am to give him one fith of the crop which will be raised during the year 1866 he is to work 6 hands he is to be subject to all of my orders Wilson is to furnish clothing for him and family also pay all doctor bills [[strikethrough]]Loose[[/strikethrough]] he is to be subject to all of my orders at any time I will allow him such patches as I may see fit for garden Wilson is to take care of all farming utensils left in his Chare all stock used in making the crop of 1866..
