We did intend to take the coming week off but to day Fred called and asked if it would make any difference if he put it off for another week as the ones who were to go with him could not this week he was to call up Conner and find out if he would agree, or had made arrangements to do some things, shall know in the morning I dont care how it turns out for I shall not care, to go any where. We have had rains only a little shower Friday after supper for an hour. I did mow the lawn to make it look even, all over it is pretty brown, and dried the graps have set but I find there are but a few perfect clusters on any of the vines that has been the way for the last few years. I have not heard a word from Ralph as yet and dont hear of any body who has may have a word this week. We are in hopes to have a quiet week but there seems to be a lot of Fire crackers and the like in town ready to be sold, starting to morrow
