managed all right. Lena seemed to enjoy her visit as the roses were in bloom & the air smells of grapevine blossoms. & during this hot time the pine is also smelly, so that when we don't get the terrible stench from the Panther rubber, we can enjoy things in spite of the weather. I suppose Eleanor is enjoying herself in her girlish way. doing what she has wanted to do all her life, well let her go it, the baby is the main thing to lookout for, & if she is contented to stay thats something. Does she take good care of her? Does the little one take to Eleanor? I think by now she must have got word from some of the family up home. I would like to see the baby get aroun, she will surely be walking soon but don't hurry her. her teeth will cut throu easy I hope. you were feverish when you cut your eye & stomac teeth. Pa went out west you remember hearing me say then & I had you in my arms day times & didnt sleep nights for a week. Aunt Prudy went home disgusted, but I was bound to take you & let my work go. it was terrible hot weather you were a year & a half old. Hazel minded her teeth also, but your baby may not cant tell
