P.S The Toomeys asked their nurse to go to church the first morning & she told them she wasn't a Catholic. Thanks for the little picture

Dear Doris-

We have had cold windy weather
for the last four days. also powerful rains doing
lots of damage, tornadoes throug the west we read
of in our papers. Pa took another cold & is barking now
it has been a hard spring for lots of people.

The season is coming ahead fast, from so many
rains we are having. our beds are looking pretty.
daffodills in bloom, also a nice lot of narcissi. clove
bush out, and scenting the air all around us. every
peony is budding. & it is most certain that we
are going to have peaches this year, for the trees
are full of blossoms. We have got our tomatoes
out in the hot bed, as Pa took off one of the
outside windows, to put over them, so to give them
more sun. The box of asters I set out of doors in
the sun they are doing well, but I am afraid
those crysanthemums are not all coming
but some are starting little new leaves so perhaps
there will be as many as I have room for.
They were done up too long before they reached
here as most of the leaves were black.
