Stoughton April 28th 1929

Dear Doris

I have been out early doing farm work, it is chilly but I have got warm working. Pa is also very busy. for the sun is shining. we had three very nice days. Friday it was April showers. most all day, with very distant thunder. I am digging dandelions these days. I like them to eat cold between slices of bread. Lena used to eat them that way with a little meat gravy or salad dressing. I had my first home baked beans last night for supper we have been eating some that she left when she broke up her tea room, "Sniders", they were good, but Arthurs are fully as good. 'Oak Hill brand.' I dont mean to bake them though the hot weather it is to much to keep a fire all day. my brown bread was fine I made a small loaf & baked it in a dryco can you left last fall. they are fine for that purpose. The pictures were good I am going to keep them till Wednesday
