Dear Doris.

A cloudy day, looks very much like snow but warmer. I went down Monday to see about my glasses & had my eyes tested for stronger lens. as these had bothered me for some time, I am to go down tomorrow to get them Pierce's, I guess he is as good as Brockton jewelers & enough sight handier He spoke of my being Grandma and said he was too & that it seemed good. The Griffins are seeing hard luck, the minister is still in the hospital, with everything the matter, bad heart, liver, pus in the intestines neuritis & I dont know as that is all either, but its enough to discourage Edna & no wonder poor thing & to think that he had not even complained, different from most of the men, so I guess he is good natured enough. I have just made a chocolate custard pudding for our dinner to day. I am going to have soupe I made it out of hamburg steak yesterday.
