Dear Doris

We are having a sunny, cold, windy day. I have got my house put in order, & vegetables on cooking, for our turkey stills hangs out. I creamed some for Pa's supper, which tasted pretty good we thought. I have got the patchwork about done, now I am about ready to put it together. I have enjoyed making the squares, as it takes up my mind. I went up to Tines Friday & she asked me if I remembered being over to Hannah Staples one day, making that rustic pattern, & giving her the same as she liked it, & afterwards she made one, she said she always liked it, that was before our children were born. We have not heard from Lena yet, but she said in a few days. her xmas mail & bundles are here, but they will keep untill she is able to write and tell us something. I supposed Dr Ott is in the secret, & keeps in touch with her, he would know her condition of course, funny how close she kept it. I would not thought of leaving her here to care for Arthur. if I had known about her condition. We have not heard anything about the radio business. Dykman is very busy, as he has all the powering down to the Panther rubber Co, they are having a twelve ton moter put in & he does Woods & French & Wars work always, so he must be pretty busy. Pa says eventually when he he is in town sometime, he will pick up something such
