Dear Folks

A dull damp day a shower early this morning and has been fog & the rest of the day I cleaned out the heater and sifted ashs as the heater has been out the last three days as it has been summer weather. am in hopes it will not have to be started till after Tuesday as we go to the State House Mon & Tues to the assesors yearly meeting. I suppose Sid is all right by this time and learning to drive that new car it seems time you should have it as they are coming here qute fast Geo McGarey has one. "Coupe." I went down to Mr Dykeman and got some apples for Lena to day. some to bake great big ones and some for pies. I find to day by looking over my chestnuts that almost every one being hit by Blight and shall cut them this winter Every one of them and some of wild cherrys trees and if McGarey take down his Barn and builds a Garage it will give me more sun on that side he is thinking of doing it he says.
