I Violet colored women have this day January 1st hired myself to Mrs. E.P. Brickell for all the year 1866 - at the rate of six dollars $6.00 per month, two suits of clothes per year, and food.  I bind myself to do any kind of work, any where, and not to leave the yard without permission; if I leave before the expiration of the year 1866 I forfeit my wages.
