I shall have regular reports only about 18 schools in July, all the large schools in the towns being in vacation.
There are 75 or 100 schools now in operation
in the state most of them in the first Supt. District, and all free schools. In the S.E. part of the state where the colored population is heavy there has been comparatively nothing done by the Circuit Superintendents.
Enclosed please find list of Circuit Superintendents.
Very respectfully,
Wm. M. Colby
