Personally appeared before me A. P. Echel an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said County. Robert S Phipps, and made oath in due form, that a final settlement was made between the late Ransom Phipp (in his presens) and Watt Tarpley "of Color" Sometime in 1866 which a testement included all claims in full to the death of the said Ransom Phipps-- [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] --
