The day is lonesome & stormy, it bids fair to be stormy all day, I got my washing out & dried yesterday she went to Brockton & I went upstairs to take a bath & while there Anna came & left the umbrella, she thinking I was asleep went away, just as well she took a walk & my being alone I had time to get my washing done, which I would not have accomplished had she been here.

They are busy working on the stand pipe hill making a face wall clear around it. furnishing work for the WPA men. now no more coasting for the children. some little devils cut the clothes that were hung on the line by the attic woman, she told us & spoilt quite a few pieces some were new garments. did it with shears or scissors a pity we could not find out who did it. they run loose over the hill there.
