most of my time, I think trouble makes one that way my children would have been a great comfort other wise. I was always scart [[scared]] for fear they would be sick so many turn them loose & have no care & guess they got along all the better for it they learn self reliance. I always had a care & wanted to know if they were all right [[alright]].

Mrs Barry has seen the knew [[new]] doctor about her trouble & he seems to have cured her. she has suffered ever since July its strangery a bladder trouble & a few pills have had a wonderful effect. she can be on her feet & sleep nights. I never knew there was a remedy for it. Phoeby Hill was here Sunday & she said there was no remedy for it, but it there is thank God. its a terrible feeling. I have often suffered with the dark disease and Hazel had it once & she was awful brave. Lena said she often suffered with it, her remedy was cream of tartar water. I must finish this as theres a post man coming soon & he will take it. or the Parcel post man your bundle may arrive soon & he always takes the mail along. theres not much news the war news is all there seems to read of in the papers & guess thats not settled by a long shot. if they would only Strangle Musolini & Hitler they would put an end to hostility but no danger they are too well protected.
